CHNAGES OF EYE FUNDUS IN THE TOXEMIA OF PREGNANCY

Abstract
|
|
|
Ophthalmoscopic characteristics during the course of toxemia of pregnancy a serious complication of secondary type of diastolic hypertension constitute the same findings of hypertensive retinopathy with marked spasm of arterioles in early stage and edema, white patches, hemorrhages and flat macular detachment in later stage.
The clinical course, fundus pictures and principle on the treatment of this retinopathy in toxemia are described.
The importance of detection of early and alarming signs of arteriolar changes on the eye fundus for the better control of this disease is emphasized.
